Below is another method for calculating intervals using Major Scales. If you are a beginner and are going to use the counting 1/2 step method discussed in the 1st lesson of this course then you can skip this lesson. If you are using the counting 1/2 step method to complete this Interval Recognition course it is recommended that you take it again by first memorizing all the Major Scales in all keys and then using the process described below to find the intervals.
The two methods of calculating intervals presented in lessons one and two give you the nuts and bolts to complete this course. The following lessons will present six intervals in one key at a time with quizzes to help you memorize this information.
